The house itself is cute. When we arrived it didn't look or smell like it was cleaned. There was no toilet paper or clean sheets. The front of fridge was sticky. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The toilets were dirty. One bathroom smelled of urine.
Nice little spot, near the beach, don’t be discouraged by the older decor if you’re looking to stay more at the beach, nice place. Us girls may book again
I want to say I have never given this type of review. However I've never stayed in something this. The location could not be better. We loved the cottage it's self. The accommodations are still from the 1950's literally. This cottage could be so sweet w just some TLC. The kitchen cabinets are lovely if minor fixes happened handles fix (not replaced.) We needed to clean dishes, silverware, glassware, pots and pans, potholders ect. More than 2 dishtowels. Sheets were brand new in the drawers but not on the beds🥴. Broken gas grills, furniture, toys, outside, yard needs it's own TLC. We bought our own cleaning supplies to clean before we could enjoy our vacation..
We loved the location so close to the beach, peaceful & safe neighborhood. Plenty of room for me and my 2 adults sons. We had my Uncle, 3 cousins & baby to visit for Memorial Day. I had to wash most dishes, pots & pans before use. Some pots really need to be thrown out - calcified or rusted out. No attention had been done to anything outside the house - glass patio table was completely rusted (had to buy a large tablecloth to cover it), 3 rusted out old grills in the back, I had to scrub all the patio furniture before use. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, all furniture was extremely old - some wobbly, light sconce was broken, no window or screen in the storm door, cigarette burns in the couch. 3 stars and “good” rating was strictly for the location. The cost was really not bad for what I got, though it was surprising that there would not be laundry in the unit as it is a home. Fortunately there is a laundry mat nearby.
Old 1950's cottage, still 1950's style. Would have been great if clean. Really needs a total cleaning and a few minor repairs to keep quaintness
Location was great for our needs.
