Overview
Sunlight pours through floor-to-ceiling windows as hillside oaks frame your view of the Sonoma Valley. This contemporary four-bedroom retreat pairs designer interiors — navy accents, gold fixtures, a linear fireplace — with a private hot tub set among lavender and native grasses. Glen Ellen Star is 0.4 miles away and Jack London State Historic Park just one mile from your door. Soak under the stars, wake to mountain views, and let the valley do the rest.
Chardonnay Getaway is a 2,240-square-foot contemporary home spread across two Glen Ellen hillside levels, with mountain and valley views from nearly every room. Navy, white, and gold accents run throughout. Mornings start with espresso on the Ipe deck above the Sonoma Valley, the hillside oaks just catching light. Afternoons fan out to Glen Ellen tasting rooms and the Jack London trails, then back to the kitchen island to uncork a bottle and sear something on the gas grill. Evenings collapse into the hot tub among the lavender, hills fading gold to indigo, the wine fridge a few steps away. OUTDOOR LIVING The private hot tub sits among lavender and ornamental grasses with hillside views. A raised deck with lounge chairs provides a second retreat, the gas grill handles alfresco cooking, and the Ipe deck offers valley-view dining. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Four bedrooms — all king beds — sleep up to eight. Finishes range from a geometric pendant and gray headboard to navy accents with a gold mirror, and a wood-frame bed with hillside views. Cook in a modern open kitchen built around a navy island and gold fixtures, light the linear gas fireplace, and head out to the hot tub set into the hillside as Glen Ellen valley spreads out below. Punch in the keypad code at the door; ease out of the driveway when you go — there's no shoulder along the road.

Glen Ellen is about 75 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and Highway 12 — a scenic drive through Sonoma Valley vineyards. Parking for 3 vehicles at the property. A car makes Sonoma Valley easy to explore — tasting rooms, restaurants, and parks run up and down Highway 12. For tasting days, plan a designated driver or book a rideshare ahead — it makes the whole day easier.
This energy-efficient home features a Tesla solar roof with Powerwall backup, electronic shades for light control, and a remote-operated gas fireplace. Central A/C keeps things comfortable during Glen Ellen summers, which regularly exceed 90°F. Your dog is welcome (one dog max, 80 lb limit). The primary renter must be 21 or older. Cell service is generally reliable in the valley but can drop in the surrounding hills. The house sits on a busy road with a blind driveway — use extra caution when entering and exiting, as there is limited visibility and no road shoulder. Dark, quiet nights are part of Glen Ellen's appeal, so pack a flashlight if you plan to stargaze from the deck.

House was well stocked and clean. Will visit again.
Super clean, comfortable beds, beautiful area
Stayed at this house for a 40th girls trip and it was great! Very clean, high end finishes and laid out nicely for a large group. Got a text around 12pm that we could check-in early because cleaning was finished which was a nice complimentary upgrade. Would def stay in again!
Very spacious house that worked well for our girls trip to Napa/Sonoma. Well equipped, great amenities, easy check in. Good location.
What a surprising and lovely retreat we had. The views looking out all the windows was absolutely stunning. It felt like we were in a different country. The home was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had a Keurig as well as a regular coffee maker. The 4 king beds were all very comfortable. Evenings were great for sitting in the hot tub and looking at the mountains and the setting sun. We were very close to the Glen Ellen Village Market which had a great deli. Right across from this store was a lovely French bakery. Lots of great hiking trails nearby. Jack London Historical Park is a must see. Hope to return to this home again soon.
