We had a wonderful time. The home was definitely versatile for a family or a person to go solo. The house was very clean, bright, and beautiful! The view of the water was also beautiful and serene. The neighbors in the community are very friendly and make you feel welcome with their smiles and hand waves. I plan to book this home again. My grandson has identified it as “our place” to hang out for quality time with mom mom! Thank you for creating a space for my family and I to make another wonderful memory.
Very convenient and very quiet place. We enjoyed our visit.
The morning after our first evening at Bear Trap Dunes, I received a voicemail saying that neighbors had complained of “uncontrolled banging and yelling” from our unit, reminding me that I had signed a lease—and threatening vague “escalation,” including the police. This was very confusing to us. We had bathed our young child at 10:15, after a long day on the beach and the boardwalk. It is possible that these noises were so beyond what we sensed them to be that they were genuinely upsetting to people. She took a normal bath—no yelling, no banging, but definitely movement. In that case, the sounds would have lasted until about 10:45, when she was asleep. It’s also possible that the noise came from another unit. Regardless, the aggressive posturing and threatening felt so out of place and unsettling that we only stayed two out of our three booked nights. We spent the second night basically gliding on the floor and whispering. I would have preferred more respectful communication and follow-up to the source of the noise.
