Experience the Martha's Vineyard of yesteryear at this beautifully updated historical home, ideally located near the heart of Oak Bluffs. The ferry terminal, the Flying Horses Carousel, Oak Bluffs Town Beach - it's all within a half-mile stroll. This two-story home has stood on Brunswick Avenue since 1870, with a classic, covered front porch where you can relax in the afternoons. It's a wonderful location for walking to dinner, visiting the East Chop Lighthouse, and spending your days on Inkwell Beach or Joseph Sylvia State Beach. Begin and end each day outside on the porch, which offers plentiful space for sipping morning coffee, playing board games in the afternoons, and sharing alfresco dinners with your loved ones. The interior has been thoughtfully updated with modern comforts while preserving the home's 150-year-old character. White walls and ceilings reflect the natural sunlight, two living rooms offer TVs with cable and streaming capability, and the eat-in kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances. Find a stacked washer/dryer for your swimsuits and towels, complimentary WiFi throughout the house, and uncluttered bedrooms to provide a restful night's sleep. The space was perfect for 6 guests. Location was perfect for traveling into town. Easy to walk, bus stop nearby or short drive to shopping, restaurants and beaches. Very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything was perfect. The only thing missing was a hair dryer. Great house, great location, spotless, well equipped, tastefully decorated. We were all very happy there

The house was a great place to hang out and allow us to roam all the in the Vineyard-the beaches, Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, Vineyard Haven, museum, restaurants, etc. It served its purpose! Convenient to walk or take bus. However, for the price, many things were broken-screen door, kitchen faucet leaked, bottom rack in dishwasher came off rails every time, kitchen had tons of ants (we bought traps ourselves), dryer worked very slowly, two upstairs bedrooms not air conditioned, could have used more pillows and hangers. We would rent this house again, but hope these issues will be addressed. Quiet, spacious, good home to accommodate large amount of guests.

Canary Cottage was well kept up. It is located in a quiet spot on a hill, a short walk into Oak Bluff past a bay. There is a small convenience store at the bottom of the hill. It’s walking distance from the ferry, maybe 15 minutes. Same for the bus station. We enjoyed our stay. We were three couples in our late 50’s/early 60’s.
