Lights in bedrooms and living room did not work and trash was not taken care of from previous stay. A lot of ants inside as well.
The location was excellent for a variety of activities.
This little home initially seemed like a cozy getaway from the hussel and bussel snuggled neatly into the woods with critters and birds making wonderful noises from the moment we showed up until we left. That only lasted for a mere hour two until the first of our problems occurred. There was a washer and dryer, but neither were plugged into the wall nor was there water supply to the washer or a drainage area. The bugs were awful even after making sure that all windows and doors were snuggly closed at all times, crickets, spiders, and flies roamed with us. The trash outside was overflowing causing a smell to accumulate and having nowhere to put any of our trash. Last but not least on our second night we returned from a wedding to find that none of the lights would turn on and everything plugged into the wall continuously would turn on and off flashing digital lights and sounds. The nightstand light then proceeded to start smoking and becoming increasingly hot after only being on for a maximum of 5 minutes. Me and the other guests had decided it was unsafe to continue staying there and left shortly after.
The property was clean, beyond that there's not much great to say. The garbage can outside was completely full when we arrived and had nowhere to put bags we filled. The air was either way too cold or had to be turned off. The wifi and cable barely worked. The washer and dryer didn't work at all. That would have been nice to know before clothes and detergent were placed in it. The firepit with low hanging branches directly above seemed like a horrible idea. With a ski mountain near by I'd imagine the property is targeted at people planning an outdoor vacation, this makes the stained carpet inside a ridiculous choice, maybe a floor that can be cleaned in a suitable fashion for the use of a cabin. I'd demand a partial refund if I thought I'd get anywhere with it.
Proximity to our grandchildren Will definitely stay again as long as this is available
