This secluded home is perfect for anyone wanting to get away. The living room is a picture of comfort. Enjoy stretching out on the sofa or curling up on one of the armchairs while being warmed by the fireplace. The spacious kitchen is truly a sight to behold. Complete with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large prep island, and fun gadgets like an ice cream maker, this kitchen is the perfect destination for the chef of the group. The home has a formal dining area, as well as a breakfast nook in the kitchen, so there’s no shortage of space for dining as a group. The outdoor space is a haven all its own. To start with, the furnished screened porch is perfect for lounging out in the cool of the evening. The back deck is spacious and has a grill. Out front is a lovely nature trail and rope swing. Also outdoors is a firepit for guest use. The property provides one bundle of firewood, so be sure to stock up if you’ll be wanting more. This home is pet friendly and allows 1 dog up to 70 lbs. The rental company booked this place for us after our other rental lost power. Just two short hours after arriving we lost power at this rental as well. This made it impossible to stay at the property—no lights, no heat, no way to flush the toilet, no way to cook or charge devices. After spending one very cold night, we left on Thanksgiving day—two full days early. What made things worse was the rental company’s response. Despite the situation being completely out of our control, they refused to issue a refund for the two days. Their lack of accountability and customer care was extremely frustrating. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking with this company. If something goes wrong, don’t expect them to make it right.

We appreciated that the house had an awesome location to Saugatuck. We were able to walk there as well as drive downtown easily. We also visited other neighboring towns like Holland and St. Joseph's with ease. The entire area is filled with great restaurants, ice cream and family-friend activities like the beach, sand dune rides, mini golf, regular golf, shopping and hiking. Downside for this home were the spiders, the spotty WIFI which stopped working and left us with no air conditioning our final night, and the layout of the master bedroom didn't work well for us as we kept waking up our son having to walk through his room to get to ours.
