Overview
Expansive Pacific views from the living room and ocean-side deck anchor this spacious 3-bedroom Sea Ranch home for 6. Pelicans pass the windows as fog lifts to sun; a stone fireplace and hardwood floors recall one of the community's earliest homes. An eight-minute walk reaches The Sea Ranch Lodge or Moonraker; Black Point Beach is an easy stroll. A private courtyard hot tub, den, and fenced yard — plus Sea Ranch pools, tennis, and bluff trails.
Meyer Getaway is a spacious, sun-filled Sea Ranch home on an ocean-view lot in prestigious Unit One, where a wooden bridge crosses your private creek and a garden gate opens into a slightly walled courtyard. Spend mornings with coffee on the deck as the Pacific fills the windows, afternoons walking to Black Point Beach or the bluff trails, and evenings around the stone fireplace as pelicans glide past and coastal fog thins to stars. Cross the bridge, step through the garden, and enter separate living and dining rooms with hardwood floors, wormwood walls, a driftwood door, and a local-rock fireplace — hallmarks of one of The Sea Ranch's oldest homes, thoughtfully updated for today's guests. The gas kitchen, den with TV, and in-home entertainment (TV, streaming-ready WiFi) handle rainy afternoons; a Weber grill, washer/dryer, and driveway parking keep practical stays easy. The Sea Ranch Lodge is about an eight-minute walk — good for breakfast, a drink, or picking up a few things. Head the other way and you’re at Moonraker in roughly the same time, with a pool, sauna, and tennis when you want a break from the house. Black Point Beach, the biggest sandy stretch in Sea Ranch, is an easy walk as well. Bluff trails start close by, and if you’re picturing deep-in-the-redwoods Sea Ranch, that’s mostly on the other side of Highway 1 — here you’re on the open coast, with the Pacific out front. OUTDOOR LIVING The ocean-side deck is the main stage — wide-open Pacific views with room to dine and watch the weather roll through. On the east, a grassy fenced courtyard gives kids a safe place to run. The private hot tub sits on the deck in the courtyard (no reservation). Fox and deer often cross the larger Unit One lots; you're tucked into a garden, not a redwood grove. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Choose from 3 bedrooms: a king, a queen, and a twin room with two beds in separate alcoves plus a work desk. Altogether, the home comfortably sleeps 6 — each guest can claim a quiet corner. Sea Ranch is about 2.5 hours north of San Francisco -- take Highway 101 to Highway 1 for one of California's most scenic coastal drives. The nearest airport is Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, roughly 90 minutes east. A car is the way to go for exploring the area.
Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay — check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times. Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the dark sky — bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast. Keep your eyes on the horizon from December to April — gray whales migrate just offshore, and this property has a front-row seat. Visit in spring and the meadows explode with wildflowers. April through June is peak bloom season along the Sonoma Coast. The warmest months are June through September. Expect coastal fog most mornings that gives way to sunny afternoons. Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.

My wife and I had such a great stay here with our 2 young kids and would definitely come back. The house is in a great location (close to the ocean and Moonraker rec center), was super comfortable, and had everything we needed. You can tell it’s set up with guests in mind. The kitchen was a huge highlight for us—it was really well stocked with everything we needed which made it easy to cook meals at the house. Overall, the place felt cozy but still had plenty of space to relax and hang out together. I think it's one of the more affordable options in Sea Ranch for a group of our size so we thought it was a great value, especially for how nice and well-equipped the home is. We loved our time here and are already talking about coming back on a future trip.
View was amazing and house was well laid out and extremely comfortable. Loved our stay!
The Meyer getaway was very nice, everything was accurate to the listing and the kitchen was fantastic to cook in. Beds were comfortable, and the views were great!
We loved our stay at the Meyer house. The house is adorably cozy and had everything we needed—lots of books and puzzles and a well-stocked kitchen. The view from the dining room is incredible. The front garden was beautiful, offering a nice view and privacy for the hot tub. Overall, I would recommend staying here!
Nice location
Back again for another cozy retreat week at the Meyer House. We continue to love the rustic, artistic charm, the dry wood for the fireplace, the good hot tub, spacious kitchen, and blue water view across the meadow. The heat pump heating system worked well during the fog this week. Our favorite SR home from home!
