Rating
We spent the second week of the 2025 winter holidays at the condo and were, overall, very pleased with our stay. We were four adults and five children, ages 5-12. Here are some observations which might help future travelers but we fully reccomend this unit and would happily stay there again in the future. 1. The pictures do not give you a full sense of the unit, it easily sleeps 10 without people having to trip over each other all day. With the loft, there are five bedrooms. Beds were comfortable and there are enough extra pillows to support particular sleepers. There were also tons of clean towels and a second set of towels to be used at the pool/jacuzzi. And shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryers are in each of the three bathrooms. 2. The large dining table seats 10: it easily fit our entire family for dinner every night and then served as a great space for boardgames. The living area is small but we never seemed to lack for space. The bedrooms are big enough for people to go elsewhere if they want to hang out and do something not involving the main room. 3. The kitchen is small with a decent amount of tools and plates- nothing extraordinary but we were able to make and serve great dinners with a bit of ingenuity. The working dishwasher made clean up easy and we appreciated there was not a bunch of old food or spices lying about from previous guests. 4. The condo's customer service team is fabulous. Whenever we needed something (the microwave was not working when we got there) they were on it within 30 minutes. The ameneties for the winter are limited but the jacuzzi by our unit was right on the lake with an amazing view. It was fabulous. 5. Parking is not assigned but each group of condos has an adjacent lot and we had two cars and could always park close. Car to front door was less than a minute. 6. There is an in-unit washer/dryer that is old but functional. The dryer in particular needed some coaxing, but it beat having to go out every night in the snow to the laundry mat to manage the laundry of five children. 7. Our one challenge was the insulation in the condo is uneven so it was hard to keep the temperature steady for all three floors. The middle floor always seemed fine but the loft and the bottom floors were either roasting or freezing. There are some space heaters in the condo but they were not entirely sufficient. 8. The location is GREAT. Right on the lake- the shore and the playground are literally on the other side of the condo. It is a ten-minute drive from the CA Lodge at Heavenly. A different 10-minute drive gets you to Heavenly Village. Across the street (five-minute walk) is a Whole Foods and a bunch of small restaurants, and down the block (five-minute walk) is a large CVS. 9. There is a closet full of sleds which the children LOVED. There is enough space within the complex for snowmen building and other child adventures if you have little ones who are not skiing.
Location is great
This unit was set just one building back from the lake. Was super nice to be close to the lake while also having privacy as the beach is public. Furniture and beds were not the most comfortable but the kitchen was in good shape with decent appliances. Rooms also had both fans and space heaters in the closets if needed.
Great location. House was pretty clean for the most part. You can see grease above the stove and on the ceiling. Kitchen floor was sticky in front of stove. Love the large table and available fans and heaters. I usually bring body wash but forgot it. The available bodywash was so thick that it was difficult to get out and into a good lather. A washer and dryer would have been nice. If there was one, we did not have access to it. The living room tv is kinda small and there were 4 remotes which made things confusing. All the rooms should have had TV's, not necessarily cable but at least a Roku enabled TV. The bathroom in the very first downstair's room has the ceiling peeling off and hanging by the shower. Don't let the negatives deter you from visiting this home. It was comfortable and a row behind the homes that are on the beachfront.
Close to parking lot.
Location and lots of space!
