These rooms, 317 & 319, were clean and satisfactory. The furniture, cabinets and finishes are in very poor condition, so don't expect this to be a well kept room, but we were overall very satisfied after seeing the poor reviews.
This was a great condo in a great location.
It was hard to decide whether to give these rooms one star or two … We took my sister & daughter with us to Everline Resort and Spa for her birthday. Admittedly the reservation was somewhat last minute, the choices were few, and the unit had no reviews, BUT we had stayed here a few years ago when it was still Squaw Creek. That visit we had a wonderful room and a fantastic visit. The resort is still one of the most beautiful and well cared for resorts in the sierras ... BUT ... units 317/319 need to be completely upgraded and thoroughly cleaned. I spoke to an assistant manager upon our departure and though understanding and helpful apparently, they have "no" (?!) responsibility for the unit as it is privately owned. Both Everline and Vacasa SHOULD care because at the end of the day it’s still a reflection on both the resort and Vacasa. See list of issues below. - Beds were very comfortable BUT: - Kitchen table/chairs, coffee & side tables were completely scratched and dinged - Couch and overstuffed chairs were overly worn and/or looked dirty - Main lamp in living area was broken and shade tipped over - All other chairs in both units were damaged and felt mostly unsafe to sit on. One had been visibly "fixed" with large metal plates and screws. - Dishwasher didn’t clean dishes and we had to redo all by hand - The stove somehow locks on it's own with no instructions on how to use On a slightly less problematic note: - Front of microwave not clean - Wad of hair and grimy vent in main bathroom - Someone had left shoes and makeup bag in one closet - The two-bed room's toilet made periodic gurgling sounds We will likely try another stay at the Everline in the future but will be much more careful about the unit we choose and who we reserve it through.
This resort is amazing. The set up of the condo is very user friendly. The check and service with Vacasa went well. The bedding and furniture needs to be updated. It smells very musty… would make a huge difference. Thanks!
