I have stayed here 4 times already and I continue to hope for a better experience, yet it never is. I have spent a total of $11k over these trips and my most recent trip was $3,428 for a week and it will be my last trip. I own investment properties as well and if my management company treated my guests this way I would have dropped them years ago. If you plan to stay, make sure to bring your own sheets, shampoo, body wash, dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, dryer sheets, vacuum, and even your own trash bags. We even brought our own swiffer, hand soap, cleaning sprays, and even a spider web stick this time. If you choose to stay here, I recommend you bring your own paper towels, salt, pepper, olive oil, spoons, and even the most basic of pots and pans. When asking Vacasa if there was another trash bag as it only had 1 for a home that sleeps 8 for an entire week, their response was “we will request to see if dryer sheets and detergent can be provided as for trash bags, we only provide 1 per trash if you run out, you have to purchase more on your own”. I asked if they wanted me to put the trash directly in the can with no bag and they ignored my question. I wish I could post screen shots of our conversations. A single trash bag for an entire stay falls below even the most basic level of hygiene. It might actually be easier to hire a private cleaning company of our your own for when you arrive. On previous trips I have literally sent them pictures of beer bottles under the couch and clumps of hair in the sheets as well as photos of me cleaning the entire first evening of our trip with zero regard or any follow through. I have tried to reason with them each trip and this one was the last straw. We love the big windows, yet $3400 this last trip was my last penny they will ever receive. It is a shame as it seems the owners do not seem to care as there are countless reviews on all apps discussing the cleanliness and the condition of the home. The fact that I even traveled with my own sheets is really wild now looking back, however I could never trust the cleaning of this home. They even had a bed bug infestation a few years back. There was a giant piece of chocolate in the primary bedroom sheets and clumps of hair in the couch. The coffee table was covered in sticky material and the couch itself is stained and had crusty mucus and boogers on one edge. The ceiling in the downstairs bathroom is literally falling apart and the shower head is detached from the wall and it has been this way for at least three years. It is truly a shame that this house is in this condition. The house itself could be a phenomenal vacation spot for families of all kinds. That is why we tried four separate times. However, there is a complete lack of care and effort in this house and it has destroyed that potential. If the owners don’t care about the house, I’d be happy to buy it from them and treat it the way it should be treated.
I would never stay here again. The house was incredibly dirty and under stocked. We arrived very late our first night. I got into bed and felt crumbs. I lifted up the sheet and there was a chocolate bar in the sheets with crumbs everywhere and hair balls in the bed. I was so disgusted. Dirty sheets are inexcusable period let alone in a place you are renting for hundreds of dollars every night. Not only was the house dirty, the local manager was not kind either. Instead of apologizing, he was very rude when I addressed the issue. The vacasa team was helpful in getting clean sheets the next day, but local management was incredibly rude. The photos of the house appear much nicer than the house is in person. The kitchen is very under stocked. They only have like 3 spoons and did not provide other basic kitchen necessities like salt or dishwasher tabs. A lot of dishes were also dirty in the cabinets. We found a fake eyelash in a bowl that was supposed to be clean and residue on other dishes. I’m incredibly disappointed by my stay here and would not recommend it for the price. A clean house is the absolute bare minimum.
The house was very pretty and very close to some ski resorts. Close to restaurants and grocery stores too. However we found hair on our sheets and towels. Not sure if they were changed. Other details need improvement such as they provided dish soap but no sponge. Did not provide extra shampoo and the current one is almost empty. Overall good but the upkeep could definitely be better. There were also no basic condiments (salt and pepper) or extra kitchen paper towels
We enjoyed our stay here very much, location was convenient for accessing Mt Rose and nearby restaurants.
We had a lovely stay. The loft with 4 twin beds worked perfectly for the kids. The only things I wish this property had was more kid friendly cups and more pillows for the beds.
Dirty kitchen, there was dust, debris and hair all over the cutlery drawer. The coaster on the coffee table not only had sticky spots but also had a hair stuck on it. The coffee table was not clean and the living room had intense Woodfire smell that was being masked by a strong air freshener that was sprayed. We had to open windows to get the smell out. The ice came from the fridge was dirty with back spots. There was no dresser in the rooms and the closets barely opened and much force was needed it to open the closet. There was only a few hangers and they will all mismatched. The rugs were dirty and there was hair on the pillows. The was no drink cups except for some mismatched wine glasses, I couldn’t find glasses to drink water from. There was no iron, which hotel doesn’t have an iron. I couldn’t find glasses t hang my clothing so it was supper wrinkled and there was no iron. The bathrooms and some rooms had chipped paint. There was not enough spoons or fork for even three people and the a few that was there was not from same set. The beds were uncomfortable and creaky and bedding was old and gave me the ek feeling. There is was old blankets with old folks smell and almost a locked closet in ever room. In the front porch there is uneven step that almost made all of us trip and almost had a major accident. There was not the basic essential of kitchen, like serving utensils, potatoe peeler, salad spinner and for a place it said it was full stocked kitchen there was not even salt and pepper, foil, serene wrap and whatever was there was old and outdated and looked from decades ago. We stayed with our 4 kids the stairs are super steep and we constantly worried that the would fall down the stairs. It was the most unpleasant stay we have ever experienced and since it’s been 3 weeks since our stay, I’m sure I have forgotten some things. if I could give it a negative 5 stars, I would have. The only positive was that there was plenty of beds.
