We LOVED the hot tub - soaked in it every night and a few mornings. The kitchen was nice - it even had a crock pot that we used to slow cook a turkey breast for supper one night. This place is easy walking distance to the library, the Hoffman Wonder Garden (as well as the Hoffman center itself), and really all of downtown too. It was very quiet - we sat for hours in the hot tub and looked at the stars the moon. I would stay here again.
We loved it. Brand new, cleanest ever! So comfortable, great furniture , so beautiful
Preface: I am a short-term rental host and am a Superhost on another platform and my family was taking our first vacation in a long time celebrating recent cancer remission. We had a mostly lovely stay in this house, which is as pictured and has been nicely decorated by the owners with a well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately, the management is lacking in several areas. They won't consider early check-in or allowing early food drop-off, even if the property is ready early. They choose not to make the effort and immediately told me it goes against their policy. This place advertises heating/cooling, but the thermostat was completely disconnected when we arrived and required some technical knowledge to reconnect. (We didn't end up needing to use the HVAC, but didn't know this would be the case when we arrived.) This property charges an additional fee for the hot tub. When my family went to use it, it smelled off and every surface inside the tub was slimy. This is an indication of bacteria/micro-organism buildup because it is not being cared for properly. When I reported the situation, the Vacasa "local team" immediately refused to refund the hot tub fee without investigating at all, and I've been waiting over three days for a further response. One would think this would be an urgent matter, considering new guests were checking in and also being charged for the hot tub. This makes me wonder if they will even clean the hot tub properly or just hope no one mentions the problem to them; and continue to refuse refunds of this fee to anyone who does report the problem. This is my first time using Vacasa and I'm not impressed. I can say from personal experience that it is not difficult to excel at hosting short-term rentals, but it does require a certain level of commitment to guest satisfaction that is lacking here. The LAST thing we needed to deal with when taking this very much needed vacation was this kind of frustration.
The house is lovingly decorated and furnished with high quality, comfortable pieces. Everything is new or like new condition, clean, uncluttered, and QUIET, despite its proximity to 101. An easy walk down hill to the shops, groceries, farmers market on Friday evening, out of the tsunami zone on a private wooded lot. (The uphill climb back was no problem for us, but others might choose to drive the short distance). We loved it! It was perfect for 2 adult couples and two older teens. Manzanita's vacation homes have gotten very expensive, but I have to say this one was worth every penny. 10 out of 10. Recommend!
I loved the comfort of the home and sitting on the deck with no wind!
Great location and everything we needed for the family.
