House was not cleaned properly. Stray dark hairs in bathroom. Main level dishwasher filter was out and moldy- dishwasher stunk and could not use. Bottom drawer of refrigerator broken. Sheets in downstairs had brown spots that were chunky on them- not stained- appeared they were not washed. We removed blankets from bedding to assist cleaners- all mattresses had old dry pee stains. Would have appreciated check out instructions that are normally in 3 ring binder in home along with other instructions to home. Low water pressure in upstairs toilet. There were no batteries in downstairs remotes so unable to use the tv on that floor. Upstairs shampoo bottle pump did not work well- hard to get shampoo out. Disappointed in time it took to hear back when sent messages about house and questions about our stay. It would take days on end to hear a reply. Was considering bringing a dog but would have been an extra $230 for just 2 nights. Overall, pretty disappointed and disgusted that we spent almost $700 for 2 nights and this was what we walked in to. Very over priced for the experience we received.
I enjoyed the layout of the home and gardens. Great views & comfortable. A unique location and experience.
This is the coolest place with the best views . I was so impressed when I got there I immediately wanted to extend my stay but they had already booked the days after I was there . Its a little tricky getting down to the beach if your drinking but you got this !!! Love your place so so much and I am booking for March if there is any slots available .
If you have any interest in really good pre-war architecture or the grandeur of old Oregon you will not be disappointed. This aging beauty's glory shines through at every turn. Winding paths throughout the small estate help capture the imagination with what it had been, and still quite beautiful with the inevitable re-wilding over time. A diamond in the rough that sparkles still. Loved the path to the beach and could have crossed the creek in rain boots but for a sore knee. No matter Agate and Beverly beaches are minutes away. I spent a magical week at Whispering Seas and I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for the opportunity!
We loved the spaciousness and comfort of the house and the gorgeous landscaping. Views from the large windows were beautiful to watch the sunset. The hot tub was a plus, clean and hot when we arrived. They need to replace a few appliances (dishwasher and possibly upstairs fridge, BBQ grill) and add some outdoor furniture to enjoy the surroundings. We liked the easy access to downtown, the aquarium and Depoe Bay for whale-watching. Beach access was a little tricky, and best driven to for anyone with mobility issues. The walking path from the house required crossing a stream that even at low tide required water shoes.
The views are beautiful, the property has a lot of privacy, and the roomy home has a lot of places for groups of people to spread out. A comfortable home in a beautiful setting.
