The house was very comfortable and the rate was great. Cleaning person was very friendly.
The property's listing photos showcased a charming and rustic style, yet the real-life presentation was markedly different and not favorably so. The ceilings and walls were covered in a black residue, likely from fire damage, which was hard to overlook and prompted numerous questions regarding the property's past and why it wasn't properly restored. While there's more to critique, dwelling on every detail might seem pedantic. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone and wouldn't stay here myself if given the option. A bit of renovation, including painting and deep cleaning, along with replacing basic necessities, would make a considerable difference, given its potential. The location had its merits, with a partial view of the ocean and a brief descent down a somewhat sketchy path to the beach, which guests were warned would be at their own risk.
While I felt the company's overall response to any of my concerns were addressed over course of my stay, it was unfortunate that some cherished clothing items which I reported as left hanging in the closet were "unrecovered." I was alone in my stay and know for a fact that I hung up one outfit with belt accessories in the closet, which I failed to collect when packing up. I reported this within 2 hours of check out time and was reassured that the items could be mailed. I checked back in after several weeks without update, only to be told nothing was found. This may be a given for any stay to double check for all of your possessions, but this property may not be especially trustworthy in regards to returning leftover belongings.
Nothing, except the electric fireplace was convenient for heat
Very cute with everything you need and such a cozy space. The new was great from the bedroom and the little street was quiet with a short walk to the beach. The path was a real challenge getting up and down but the beach was amazing.
