Pros: 1. At the beginning, we couldn’t successfully enter the room with the password, but the host communicated promptly via text, and there was always someone available to contact. 2. The hot water was very hot and came quickly. 3. There was a snow pile right next to the house, which made the kids super happy. 4. The restaurants were very close, just a 5–10-minute walk to any nearby eatery. 5. It felt relatively safe and was very quiet. 6. The view from the second floor was amazing, with large windows facing the road. Enjoying coffee while watching the snowy scenery outside was very relaxing. 7. There was a fireplace, but we didn’t have a lighter, so we didn’t use it. It would be great if the owner could leave a box of matches or a lighter in the house. Cons: 1. We stayed on the second floor, and there were two outdoor staircases between the parking spot and the room. We had to be very cautious to avoid slipping. While there were motion-activated lights on the stairs, they were dim, so we needed additional lighting when going out after dark. 2. The room only had one bathroom, and it didn’t have a lock, which felt inconvenient. 3. Most of the power outlets seemed very old, with some even posing potential safety hazards. Many of them were so loose that phone chargers wouldn’t stay plugged in securely. 4. The balcony was covered with thick snow, making it inaccessible. We didn’t use it. 5. Parking was only available on the roadside. Fortunately, there weren’t other cars taking up space, so we parked at the foot of the stairs. However, on snowy and slippery days, moving luggage wasn’t very convenient. 6. It took a long time for the room to warm up, and once it did, the air inside was extremely dry. For those with dry skin, it’s essential to bring not just skincare products but also body lotion and hand cream! 7. The kitchen was disappointing. Many utensils were sticky and needed cleaning before use. The cooking oil didn’t have a lid and smelled long expired. The utensils were sticky and not very clean. The microwave door was difficult to close and kept popping open. 8. The stovetop had safety restrictions, so larger pots couldn’t be used. Luckily, we brought a pot about 10 inches in diameter, which allowed us to cook stews. 9. The bed we slept on had a strong odor, like unwashed armpits. 10. The Wi-Fi was super slow and showed as unsecured—not sure why—maybe there were too many users.

This house is close to skiing, which is a big plus. But the house needs some upgrades, holes in the walls need to be repaired, electrical outlets need to be updated, lighting needs to be improved. There's only one bathroom so it makes it a tight space for 7 people.

This is a great lodge to stay in. Only one restroom is tough but everything else is great. The location was perfect, we had no problem with parking, and everyone was great. This lodge can sleep 10 people comfortably. There are many negative reviews about the condition of this lodge but this is typical government camp lodging. And as a local this is just how we like it. I imagine the negative reviews are from people who expected something like Jackson Hole or Vail. As someone who travels to mountain resorts often I am thankful government camp is still our back yard hang out and not some super expensive, snubby place that privileged people go to.

The place was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Great location just so so many stairs. A bit challenging as snow kept coming. Would be rough for people who aren’t super agile.

We stayed 6 nights total and paid over $1900. To start our sheets were dirty. We asked for fresh ones to be brought and no one ever came. There was black colored mold/mildew in the shower all over the ceiling. Someone else's hair was on our bath towels. We asked for fresh ones and never received them. The place was dirty and unclean. We made many requests for service and never received any help other then someone will contact you. I would never recommend to anyone to stay at a vacasa run facility again. The did provide a small refund of $350 but nothing that actually made us feel better about our stay or any significant amount that actually showed they cared and were sorry. A 1 star is to nice to give. I would upload pictures but that doesn't seem to be an option on this review platform.
