Inviting townhouse with on-site pool, updated interior, & W/D

I will start by talking about the good things about this condo. The location to the beach is excellent even though you cannot see the beach from condo. The beach was beautiful and hardly anyone on it. It is a 2-3 min walk from the condo. The beds in the condo were also very comfortable as well. As for the cons, our first impression was that whoever renovated the condo did not know how to do renovations. I no expert in renovations but It was cheaply and poorly done. You need to be careful walking barefoot as the were not transition pieces is several places where new flooring was laid on top of old flooring. The carpet was tearing and you could feel the staples poking out. We had a problem with the master bathroom tub draining which maintenance did come out and clear the clog. Then we started seeing the palmetto bugs. Maintenance said they had just sprayed before we arrived so we let it go when we saw the first one. But then we started seeing several more. When we called they said they would send someone out to spray again but if the unit was just sprayed before we arrived, we didn't think spraying again would help much. The outside of the buildings appear to be ongoing some renovations with several of the balcony's of other units and the buildings could use a new coat of paint. After talking with the owners of a unit a few doors down, we were made aware that unit B2 is the problem unit. That the owner doesn't keep the unit up as they should and has failed to pay their HOA's fees. This was hearsay so I a not sure how true it is. Finally, after 3 nights, we talked with Vacasa and they agreed to give a a refund for the remaining 4 nights. But they did not refund any of the fees associated with the rental which was more than the refund we received. After discussing it again with the representative, they finally agreed and refunded us another $150 in fees. All in all, we paid more for the 3 nights we stayed than what was refunded to us for the remaining 4 nights. To be fair, I think they should have taken the total amount we paid and divided it by 7 nights and refunded us the 4 nights we didn't stay but they didn't. I also advised them to go look at the unit because the pics and description online is very misleading. If I could post pictures I would do so.

The proximity to the beach. Ice cold AC. Good water pressure. However, I would never rent this condo again based on the above concerns.

Overall the property itself was fine I'd give it a 7.5/10. Customer service through Vacasa was 10/10. The location of the vacation property was perfect, 10/10.

The property was very lovely and clean. The issue was lack of air conditioning. When we first arrived, the entrance code we were given did not work. A Vacasa representative came to help us get in, and once inside noticed the air conditioning was not working. The representative assured us she would have someone out to fix it immediately. The repairman did not show up until around 11:00 pm, and by that time we were upstairs and did not hear them knock. We spent the first night in an un-air conditioned condo where the thermostat read 89 degrees. The repairmen showed up the next morning, but did not make any repairs and left without explanation. I texted the representative and was informed that a new unit was going to be put in. Later that afternoon, another repairman showed up, but told us the unit was not repairable. We let the representative know about this and informed her that we could not sleep another night in the heat. We thus left the property and found a room at a local hotel. We were promised a refund for this trip, but as of today (two weeks later), still have not received any sort of refund. I feel this is poor customer service and would not recommend this company.

This Vacasa rental was exceptional, and well worth every penny. Its location on St. George Island is next door to the state park, with quiet surroundings and respectful neighbors. The rental includes full amenities, including wifi and a full kitchen, all immaculately clean and updated. Highly recommend this rental, and we're very excited to stay here again soon.
