Over the last 25 years I have stayed in numerous units in this complex. It had been a while since we stayed here. Unit 205 is very pretty and updated. I can also tell the building as a whole has been renovated. Nice new balconies and boardwalks. We enjoyed our stay and did as we usually do, watched epic sunsets every night from the balcony. Enjoyed cooking fresh fish and shrimp from Stewbies up the road. I highly recommend them. Did our long walks on the beach. One thing that is new to us is the closing of the beach if you walk to the right past El Matador. For years we have walked miles of this stretch of beach. We learned the hard way that you can no longer do this. We missed the orange barriers that do not go the full extent of the beach. Once past those, you are trespassing on Eglin. Do not do it! Just wanted to warn others. Except for that, it was a lovely time and I'm sure we will come again.

Island Sands 205 is a great property with great view of the beautiful beach along the Gulf. We enjoyed watching the dolphins swim by in the mornings, great sunrises and sunsets. The beach at Island Sands was not crowded and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Each day when we arrived at the beach there were two chairs and an umbrella set up for us.
