Footprints in the Sand offers an amazing Island location close to local shops, restaurants, nightlife, the State Park, and St. George Lighthouse Museum. Whether spending the day splashing in the surf and picking up seashells, exploring the Island on the nearby bicycle path, or just curling up with a good book and a refreshing beverage on the deck, this property has something for everyone! The exterior of this home offers a sparkling pool (heated for a fee) on the bay front; an outdoor shower, a fish cleaning area, and a park-style grill for your fresh catch. The fenced-in pool deck offers both shaded spaces to relax and visit or a sun deck where you can grab your Florida tan. An exterior staircase connects the ground level and pool deck to all the exterior decks of the home. The first floor offers the main bedroom with a TV, direct access to the covered deck with rocking chairs, and a full bathroom. The second bedroom also enjoys direct access to the covered deck. The third twin bedroom has a TV. A shared full bathroom is provided along with a convenient laundry room with a washer/dryer. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was private and quiet. The layout fit our family of 5 very well. We also very much enjoyed the pool area and the ability to be under the house and in the shade while at the pool. The views were incredible. It's important to note that this house is a few blocks beyond the permissible golf cart routes on the island which is unfortunate, something I believe the SGI local officials should address (no reason the bike/running path couldn't be dual use for golf carts (in the daylight). That isn't related specifically to the house though. A couple of other items that would be of interest to future guests that we weren't able to find prior to visiting in the reviews. There is a coffee pot that makes drip or keurig pod coffee. Also, there is a blender in the cabinet. The other kitchen amenities are fine, not over the top, but basics to get you by for a week or so. There is no beach equipment nor paddle boards/kayaks with the house. The beach equipment credit we received from Vacasa went to good use on chairs and a tent (very high quality). If we returned to SGI for a vacation we would stay at this place again, it fit our families needs very well.

This house is very clean and family friendly. We love the multiple porches and views of the bay and sunsets. The house is very private in a secluded area. The pool is a great size and love that it can be heated especially visiting in March. The pool need to be cleaned often aside from the 2x week service with the trees depending on wind direction but the equipment is readily available. Highly recommend this property!

We really enjoyed our vacation in the home. It was private yet close to the state park and Main Street. Well equipped kitchen. Nice porch swing to view the sunsets.
