My family of five loved this cottage. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the canal right outside the door and just a short walk to the beach.
I grew up going to Dauphin and we visit about two times a year. We always stay here. My husband walks right out the back door and fishes on the private dock. The house has all the essentials for our visit and is always clean. This house is great for families.
Good location
House was clean, cool air, great beds, games, everything you need in the kitchen. Will only stay in Vacasa listings from now on.
I would rate this home a 3.5. Pros: Close to the beach Waterfront access to canal, great for fishing! Close to restaurants and shops Large living-room for socializing Loved the swings on back porch Beds were comfortable Cons: All vents looked to have a black mold problem. This needs to be looked into! Internet was very spotty. Halfway through a movie or TV show, it would freeze. No mixing bowls in kitchen and no salt or pepper. Front yard needs sprayed for fire ants! They got in our vehicle which made for an interesting trip back home. Overall, we had a great time. But I would mention these to someone wanting to rent.
We stayed a few days in this beautiful little hidden place in America. Many wonderful places to visit sightseeing shop eat just pay attention who you rent a place from and what it looks like pictures can be deceiving. I have lived in Alabama for 40 years and never knew of this place.
