Rating
We had 4 families stay and the place was very nicely sized and comfortable for everyone. Really clean and very well equipped for all the mouths we had to feed. This rental is great for the value and we would definitely rent again if we can all travel back again from North Central Washington.
Ideal location in Oregon coastal 101. A bit noisy on the rooms facing the 101 high way.
First let me say that our family reunion at this property was a joyous one and there were no major complaints by any of us. Places offering eight bedrooms are difficult to find and costly. The duplex is pretty new and a quick walk to a wonderful beach. This property is on the market for about a million dollars, and we've had expectations of places we've rented through VRBO in the past for $1,000 a night. You'll have a good time at this property, but know in advance what you might find lacking considering the cost: 1. There are no dressers in the bedrooms, so your suitcase on the floor will house whatever can't be hung in a closet; 2. There are no dining rooms save the folding tables and chairs in the unfinished garages. The kitchen islands have eight stools that can be used, with actual leg room under only one side; 3. There is no barbecue grill and no games or diversions for the kids beyond the TV; 4. The carpets had numerous stains and we wondered when they had last been cleaned; and 5. The property fronts on a railway track and heavily-traveled Route 101. If none of these are deal-breakers, you'll probably have a good stay. Just know what you're getting for the steep rate.
Close to beach
This house had the bare minimum. There was not a dresser to put clothes in, had to put them on the floor. Only six hangers in the closet. No hooks in the bathroom. No tables to eat at- there was a counter with stools. The sofa wasn’t very comfortable. There living room was tiny for our family. No outdoor furniture to even read a book at. The dryer had so much lint in it - it was a fire hazard and we cleaned it out ourselves. Only six hangers the plus side, plenty of towels, nice appliances in the kitchen and over all it was clean. I would not book this place again.
Overall we had a great stay: the kitchen amenities were great, location was easy to find with easy beach access, it was quiet, and kid friendly (if you have littles- bring a baby gate). Aside from a few cleaning issues- we would absolutely stay here again.
