Party of 8 adults, teens, a two year old, 2 dogs. Location was great easy walk to the beach, not too overwhelming carrying all the things. We read the reviews prior to staying and we’re not expecting amazing cleanliness & post hurricane understandably more short staffed however I want to give a few things as a heads up for the price of this house- they have failed to keep up with the property. We found a rotten banana, leftover goldfish next to the bed in the drawers, dirty dishes, and dishwasher full from the previous family. Sand in both a hot tub and pool, including on the pool table. There was broken doors, left mops upstairs that were dirty on the outside deck. we didn’t have a broom dust pan at all so we had to buy one. My husband cut his hand on the door frame because it was bent off hanging by the kitchen. Rusted off broken doorknob to deck. The mosquitoes were so horrible we couldn’t enjoy the pool much, if you do want to use the pool, I do recommend buying the heating option because it was cold. multiple boards on the pool deck that were sticking straight up so we had to be vigilant with kids. grill caught on fire trying to make steaks& had to use the fire extinguisher, however they brought a new grill immediately the next day without issue so communication with that was great. Very, and I mean very minimal things provided* There was good dish-ware and pots and pans however, no basics like The dishwasher tabs were left over from the previous family, there was one dish towel had to buy more. Overall would stay here again for the basic price but do not expect full relaxing there’s things to be vigilant about and cleaning to do. Love that it was dog friendly though!
I have so many things to describe here but I dont feel like typing it all out. Basically Vacasa robbed me of 4k. The way they handled the Hurricane Erin evacuation I would give 0/10 rating. Thank God the island wasn't too devastated and natural disasters are not Vacasa fault BUT THE WAY THEY HANDLED IT IS 100% their fault. Do NOT use this company. I will be filing formal complaints on them.
We absolutely loved this house. It had all the basics you would need and many extras that you may not always see in rental houses. The "tower" sitting room as we called it was our favorite hangout spot. All the games and puzzles were perfect for the rainy mornings. The outdoor shower made getting sand off and not tracking it into the pool or house so much easier. The hot tub and pool were clean and well maintained. The house is also in a great location, in a very walkable neighborhood, close to the Food Lion shopping center that also included a Duck Donuts, an arcade and more. The house also sits on one of the neighborhood ponds with a private deck and ocean views. Will definitely rent again.
This was our first time staying at this property and loved it. It is a little older home, but it is very well maintained and has lots of room. We're already planning on staying again next year.
Pool was amazing. House could use a bit of updating. Loved the location as well… great proximity to grocery, pier, beach, etc.
We had the best time! I loved how there was plenty of room for everyone and all of the kids really enjoyed the pool!!
