This is the 2nd year my family and I have rented this house for our beach vacation. It's a very nice home with ample space, and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, with 2 decks that overlook the beach which is just a few steps away. We love this house and love the city! There's so many things to do and tons of good restaurants and bars for going out. We will definitely be staying here again.
The access to the beach and enough bedrooms and bathrooms
We arrived to a wonderfully cool house. The AC worked great, with thermostats on both the first and second levels. The beds were comfortable. However, some sheets had not been changed—one room even had a fresh blood stain that went unnoticed by the kids until the next morning. Fresh sheets were delivered, but we had to change them ourselves. There were also potato chips left on the bunkbeds, which required a crew to come and clean. The Wi-Fi information provided was incorrect, so we had no connection the first day and did not get it working until the following evening after 5 PM. The drawers in every bedroom were dirty and needed vacuuming, so instead of unpacking, we kept our clothes in our suitcases. Each bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers, but all were empty. After reporting it, replacements were sent—though not right away. The living room had enough sofa seating for only six, which was uncomfortable with our larger group. The dining room table was wonderfully spacious, but the chairs were very uncomfortable; cushions would make a big difference. On the positive side, we enjoyed the puzzles provided in the home, loved being just steps away from the beach, and appreciated the chairs on the decks. Communication with Vacasa was slow. At 4 a.m. one morning, the smoke alarms began beeping. We were alarmed at first, thinking it was a fire, but then realized it was just the detectors themselves. We had to remove the batteries to stop the noise. Although we reported it right away, the detectors were never replaced during our entire 7-day stay. There were 10 of us (and for two days, 12), and we had an amazing time together, especially enjoying the beautiful beach. We understand that issues can arise when renting a home, but we were disappointed by Vacasa’s slow response times and lack of empathy throughout our stay.
The size of the house is perfect for our family…plenty of bathrooms and good beds..air conditioning works great! We had a perfect week with awesome weather
