It took four days to fix the balcony door, which was unlocked on our arrival. During that time we could not fully close the door and secure our family and belongings. On a first floor unit! It took dozens of messages and phone calls to get a repair man to come and fix it. It was a simple fix for a fundamental aspect of a rental : being able to close and lock the door. This was a safety issue left unaddressed. It is frustrating enough to have to deal with an issue like this while on a special family trip, but to have to spend so much time just trying to get someone to come and look at the door — for a most fundamental safety need to close and lock a door— was absurd.  The floor was also quite dirty when we arrived. I took photos to show piles of what appeared to be pencil shavings and sand and other debris under the tables.  The hot tub was also broken for the first half of our visit.  The mini washer and dryer are also incredibly loud. You can’t do laundry while a kid is asleep. Or hold a conversation in the condo without raising your voice over the noise while the washer/dryer is running.  The location in relation to the pool and beach is great. The refreshed decor is also lovely. But not being able to fully close/lock the balcony door for half of our trip was unacceptable.

Water front location. Close to Fort Macon park, Morehead waterfront and restaurants. Beaufort an easy drive. Water park and putt putt close-by and so is the NC Aquarium and Oceanana fishing pier.
