Condo needs deep clean and a new coat of paint. Housekeeping needs to be more thorough on checking things. Bedspread had stains on it. Plates and silverware were nasty. We had to wash before we used. The walls had spots and marks on them.
We watched this rental for several months before deciding to book, as we were apprehensive because of several reviews on a few online sites. It did stay available and overall, if you are looking for an incredible area on Wild Dunes and ocean view, this is a place to consider. We would rent the unit again. We do agree though, with several of the previous recommendations already mentioned from renters, to match this beautiful location with the rental. Inside is probably the most bare bones vacation rental we have reserved. Kitchen has enough pans and only salt/pepper to cook however, nothing for food storage. This caught us by surprise getting there late, stopping to pick up a few items to cook and nothing to store food. The next step was realizing for short time vacation rentals, there were no luggage racks for our suitcases in either room. Suitcases ended up on the ground. This was a first. The screen door to patio, please address (addressed in other reviews). Having to forecefully/gently kick the screen door to open, is a bit ridiculous, as the balcony is the golden ticket to this unit. The screen door is essential for blocking the many bugs, while getting fresh ocean air, and hearing the amazing sound of the waves. There are plug in blue light bug zappers and this was a must and much needed. The living room furniture is worn down and stained (addressed in other reviews), we put towels over them to make us feel comfortable. A simple upgrade to your bedsheets would go a long way. Stiff and uncomfortable. Rust to the dishwasher racks.
Location was good except for the sandbag construction that limited the beach access.
We enjoyed our stay and loved the views.
Loved the location and the condo was super cute! Will definitely stay here again!!!
