Please read the ad carefully. When it mentions bunk beds please note this is good for small kids but not full grown adults. If this was clearly mentioned on the ad we probably would not have rented. Also there was considerable amount of fur on our clothing after sitting on the couch and a bit of dirt and dust on at least one of the top bunk beds. Wear and tear is starting to become visible (walls, dishes, kitchen handles, furniture, etc).

This house is nice and well laid out for a small group. Perfect house when travelling with pets.

Seabrook island is a family favorite. The amenities and quality of the homes have always been top quality. We were impressed with the renovations of this home. However, the cleanliness was not at its finest. There was so much dust and mold in the house that it made it hard to enjoy the first few days until it was cleaned out. We defiantly will return to the island but probably not rebook this location due to the upkeep and maintenance of the property. Although the Vacasa team was responsive, concerns were not fully remediated.

We left this property mid stay. It was the most anxious I have ever been on vacation. -We arrived to find a portable ac unit installed with cardboard and duct tape in the upstairs bedroom window. We should have been notified of this prior to arrival as we had planned for children to sleep in that room. Not having a second story window secure when it is known children will be sleeping in the room is a huge safety problem. After heavy rain, the cardboard was soaked and the tape was failing. -AC is insufficient to cool house (which is why I'm sure they put the portable unit upstairs.) There is only one vent in the living room, which cannot cool a room of this size with windows and skylights that allow the room to heat up in the afternoon. It was consistently eighty degrees in the house. The AC ran 24/7. Two companies came while we were there to service the unit. With a pet on premises, we needed to alter plans to accommodate their schedule. -The dryer does not dry clothes. It took 4 cycles to dry clothes. I gave up and hung clothes to dry. Warning on dryer calling for cleaning of filter. The duct hose needs cleaned. -The house has a smell of mildew which you will smell on your things long after you are home. -The smoke alarm went off at 12:30 one night. It was not the chirp of needing new batteries. -The trash hadn't been removed from the bins outside all summer. They were overflowing and filled with maggots. It took 3 calls to get bins emptied so that we could dispose of our trash in the house. -Supports in the bedframe in master bedroom weren't in contact with the floor, causing bed to sag terribly. Other info of note: -There is no lock on the master bedroom door. Cross your fingers that your kids won't walk in on you. -Bathroom on main floor has a pocket door that will not close as door frame was never finished to allow it to lock. -Parents, make sure you look at the pictures (360 view too) of the desk upstairs. It sits directly below a large opening in the living room. It has a chair, of course, but makes it like stairs to a second story drop. -There are no pictures of the other bedroom downstairs other than the 360 view on this listing. I understand why after seeing it. It is not a room, but a closet. They literally cut off the end of the bunk beds to fit in the space. There is no window, so it doesn't meet fire code. There is a skylight with no ability to cover it. So, know that anyone on the top bunk with have a front row seat to sunrise or any thunderstorms with no ability to close a blind. This room has a pocket door that does not latch (the doorframe was never finished.) -Ceiling fans are all going the wrong direction for summer, which just pushed hot air down. No way to reverse them as they are controlled by an app. -Front left burner on the stove didn't work -Almost impossible to access the buttons on the washer and dryer as they are blocked by frame of cabinet. -The broken chair in the master just needs to be removed.

This stay was not relaxing or fun. We should have just stayed home in our beautiful clean home which is only 1 hour away. The house was filthy inside and out. The windows were filthy. The house smelled like a dead animal upon arrival. The Master bedroom mattress has clearly never been rotated, you sink into the middle. The comforter was stained. It was unbearably hot outside, 97 degrees. The a/c would not go below 79 degrees. The Master bedroom stayed cold that's it though. The ghetto portable a/c in the upstairs bedroom was put in with cardboard and duct tape. The paint is peeling and chipping off the window sills and the wood is rotting off outside. The dining room seat covers are stained and dated. The main part of the couch is also sunken in. No one has ever swept under any of those throw carpets. I spent 1 third of the trip waiting on different maintenance people. We won't be back.
