The Salty Dog

God awful smell that came home with me. Going to cost me time and money to clean my clothes and air out all my stuff. I still smell that place.. it horrible. The dish washer smelt horrible as it was never ran and put up. I did it. None of the beds or towels were clean. To go in further details I washed everything and found the dryer did not work. Found breaker tripped. Roaches all in the house, kitchen items were in disarray. Worst house I've ever spent 5k on for one week. Couches are worn and trash can drawer was broken. There was hair in the sinks. We had to spend multiple hours cleaning and disinfectanting this place. The surveillance on this house is disturbing. Little kids in bathing suits be watched from every angle. Having one camera looking out in driveway is ok. Not on every corner. If you rent this previosly flooded POS make sure you are in shape. They cant even properly make the lift properly safe enough to use. Forgot to mention trash was not taken out. All the outlets down stairs are exposed and broken off. My little one was electrocuted. This will not be the end for the home owner and or Vacasa. Vacasa said they would get back to me and of course they did not.

the beach was steps away. beautiful home . we had a few issues but they were taken care of quickly. the hot tub was not working.

Private place to get away

This property had a lot of mixed reviews but we took a chance on it and we were so glad we did! It was wonderful. The oven wasn’t working but the PM team was very communicative and they waved our late check due to the inconvenience of the appliance guy unable to fix it before we left. The house had everything. Well stocked kitchen, beds were comfy, views were outstanding and it was lovely not having any neighbors. We will be back, but not soon enough.

let me start to day that I am not picky, but based on the cost per night, this house does not reflect the amenities in the pictures provided online. It was a very disappointing experience and I am giving a very bad score to make a point because VACASA (and the owners) did not attend the issues raised by previous reviewers. This house needs a major TLC and pictures should reflect the current status of the house. (e.g., the feisty smell, the noise humidifier, dirty sticky cabinets, rooms that feel like a jail (the one with the shark picture), rusted/dysfunctional air conditioning system units setting on the deck, completely lack of preparedness for power surges (not even a torch or a gas grill to keep going in an area where this is common), a non-working hot tube (at least for the last 6 months looking at previous reviews), and the worst, a completely and unprofessional lack of communication from the VACASA local team (very disappointed with VRBO on this matter, as my deal was through them). Not worthy to add anything else as we will get the generic answer that VACASA is giving to all complaints in this property. It is better go camping that going to this house, it is cheaper,m for the same experience. The only thing that saves it is the incredible views, that's all.

The Salty Dog is a lovely, spacious and beautiful home! The location and view is spectacular! My family and I enjoyed every moment during our stay at The Salty Dog! Fun in the water and sun and at the firepit roasting marshmallows at night. We definitely recommend a visit to this amazing beachfront property!
