About

The center captures the spirit of Nordic skiing and snowshoeing with its own essence.

The Breckenridge Nordic Center was established in 1969, making it one of the pioneer ventures in popularizing Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in Summit County.

The founders, Gene and Therese Dayton, longed to share their passion for the sport. They also wanted to pass on to the community the pleasures and benefits of Nordic skiing.

Over the years, the center has flourished and expanded its terrain, incorporating state-of-the-art facilities. It is one of the most sought-after destinations for winter sports enthusiasts.

But it's not all about the snow. The Breckenridge Nordic Center has trails that retrace the steps of the early mining pioneers. These rugged individuals traversed these mountains in their quest for silver and gold.

Breckenridge Nordic Center offers something for everyone, whether you're a seasoned skier or a first-timer. Your outdoor adventure into nature and history awaits at Breckenridge Nordic Center.
